An Evening with Kieran Scott and Steve Weaver

The Norwich City Fans Social Club are holding another virtual event on Tuesday, May 4 at 7.30pm to offer you some insight into the inner workings of the Canaries’ success in the Championship this season.

Joining host Michael Bailey is City duo Kieran Scott and Steve Weaver, who will be answering your questions and explaining their roles in an unmissable night for Canaries supporters.

Both youth development and recruitment have been pivotal areas for the club in recent years, with a number of the first-team either progressing through the academy or being signed by the current regime.

Kieran Scott oversees City’s recruitment team and is tasked with uncovering fresh talent for Daniel Farke’s first-team. He is the club’s head of recruitment and helped bring the likes of Teemu Pukki and Emi Buendia to Norfolk. The Canaries’ strong recruitment has been pivotal to their success on the pitch, helping them scout smartly to uncover talent in areas of the world where other sides may not be looking. Adopting data and combining that with in-person scouting is key to plucking those undiscovered gems that have risen to prominence in Norfolk.

Steve Weaver is in charge of City’s academy on a day-to-day basis, overseeing the development of City’s stars of tomorrow. The academy has produced a number of talents, including Todd Cantwell, Max Aarons, Ben Godfrey, Jamal Lewis and Adam Idah. Steve works closely with sporting director Stuart Webber to create a pathway to allow youngsters to flourish.
